Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The contribution has not been published previously nor is it currently under consideration at another journal.
- The file is submitted in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF or WordPerfect format.
- URL links to references are used wherever possible.
- The text uses single spacing and 12-point font; italics are used rather than underlining (except for URL addresses); the structure is logical and appropriate for the given type of submission; all tables and figures are placed in the text rather than at the end.
- The text meets the requirements stated in the Author Guidelines which can be found on the webpage About the journal.
Studies
Contributions designated by the authors as research studies undergo anonymous peer-review. The word limit up to 10,000 words.
Good Practice/Innovation
Contributions designated by the authors as examples of good practice undergo anonymous peer-review. The word limit is up to 4,000 words.
Discussions
The word limit is up to 3,000 words.
Language Centres
This section is intended for informative texts about particular language centres in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Reports
This section is intended for informative articles about conferences and other interesting events relating to higher language education. The word limit up to 1,000 words.
Reviews
This section is intended for book reviews relating to higher language education.
