Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The contribution has not been published previously nor is it currently under consideration at another journal.
  • The file is submitted in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF or WordPerfect format.
  • URL links to references are used wherever possible.
  • The text uses single spacing and 12-point font; italics are used rather than underlining (except for URL addresses); the structure is logical and appropriate for the given type of submission; all tables and figures are placed in the text rather than at the end.

Author Guidelines

The journal accepts

  • research studies,
  • examples of good practice,
  • discussions,
  • as well as reports, reviews, and other contributions.
Each study or example of best practice must be accompanied by an abstract and keywords in both English and the language of submission (Czech, Slovak, English, French, Spanish, German, or Russian).
All authors are required to submit a separate file containing a brief biographical note (100–150 words), which must include their institutional affiliation in both Czech and English, along with their ORCID identifier. Providing this information is in the authors’ best interest, as it is displayed on the journal’s website and exported to various indexing databases (e.g., Crossref, DOAJ) as part of the article’s metadata.
Academic studies and examples of best practice undergo a double-blind peer review by two independent reviewers. To preserve anonymity, authors must not include their names in the manuscript. Both in-text citations and references must adhere to the APA style.

For a submission to be considered for peer review, it must meet the standards of a scholarly publication—whether theoretical or research-based—and be supported by current academic literature from both domestic and international sources.

Publication Ethics

By submitting their manuscripts, all authors guarantee that the submitted work represent their own original contribution and that it has not been copied or plagiarized in whole or in part from other works.

Author's statement on the use of AI in the article

Authors must disclose the use of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process by adding a statement at the end of their manuscript in the core manuscript file, before the References list. The statement should be placed in a new section entitled 'Declaration of Generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process'

Text of statement: During the preparation of this work the author(s) used [NAME TOOL / SERVICE] in order to [REASON]. After using this tool/service, the author(s) reviewed and edited the content as needed and take(s) full responsibility for the content of the publication

This statement does not apply to the use of basic tools for checking grammar, spelling, references, etc. In that case, there is no need to add a statement.
