Before submission itself it is needed to become acquainted with the Policies containing the additional information beyond following Author Guidelines.

SUBMISSION

All submissions should comply with the following requirements for an academic article. The editorial team checks if the submission is in compliance with these rules prior to the initiation of the peer review. Submissions not complying will be returned to the author.

1. The article has not been published elsewhere and it is not under consideration by another journal of publishing house.
2. The topic of the article fits into the focus and scope of the journal.
3. The length of the article does not exceed the maximum limit specified in the section policies.
4. Citations and bibliographical references are incorporated into the article. The article is supplemented with a list of references.
5. The article does not indicate identity of the author.

STRUCTURE OF CITATIONS

Masaryk University Journal of Law and Technology uses adapted version of Harvard standard.

This citation style is hybrid of

1. Harvard technique or rather content of information in citation and
2. way of placement used by most of Czech universities.

Unlike the Harvard standard, which is based on the in-text style of citations, MUJLT uses system of footnotes, where all the citations are marked in their full form.

In-text citations à la Harvard are in our journal undesirable.

In case of works not included in the guide do not hesitate to contact editor of your article (see e.g. Editorial team), who is fully available to you and will readily help you with the right form of the final citation.

FORMATTING RECOMMENDATIONS

Use of automatic styles, automatic text and bold characters should be omitted.

Use of any special forms of formatting, pictures, graphs, etc. should be consulted.

Only automatic footnotes should be used for notes, citations, etc.

Blank lines should be used only to divide chapters (not paragraphs).

First words of paragraphs should not be indented. Chapters should be numbered in ordinary way – example: “5.2. Partial Conclusions ”.
