The following text is the first part of the research project, which is fulfilling the basis for the analysis of the quality of a responsible citizenship manifested by a reminiscence of the historic and moral value of the specific historical sites in Brno dating from the WWII period. The research method is based on oral history. The interviews with the contemporary witnesses were found in the IWitness Archive and their selection was based on the allegiance to the preferred locations within Brno. The interviews were analyzed in terms of content and form and will serve as one of the sources for the scrutiny of the responsible citizenship in the sites associated with the stories of the contemporary witnesses.
