In the presented paper the authors are focusing on development of original Czechoslovakian military thinking in the period of the 1960’s. The intention of the article is to contribute to the theme of the impacts of Soviet military strategy to Czechoslovakian military doctrine and planning. On the other hand, the authors are trying to depict the influences of Western military theory on the key text of the Prague Spring which was Memorandum 68. The authors of this text were connected with The Prague MilitaryPolitical Academy. This was the main public institution criticizing the dependence of Czechoslovakian army on Soviet General staff. Despite to the occupation of Czechoslovakia in August 1968, the thoughts of our military thinkers have been living and are able to inspire us for the future.
