Abstrakt
The text first presents selected features and specifics of postage stamps as a source of information about historical facts. Then it examines the frequency and variation of the concept of the chosen subject – colonization, decolonization and postcolonization process – in the reflection of the postage stamp. Finally, it suggests the educational potential of these postage stamps in developing pupils’ historical consciousness and other media pedagogical, didactic and methodological aspects of application in the teaching of modern history, including the deepening of intersubject relations.
