Abstrakt
The text is based on the characteristics and specificities of postage stamps as a source of information about historical facts. It examines the contemporary context and impetus of representation of the Czech King and Roman Emperor Charles IV. on postage stamps. On specific examples and commentaries it illustrates the educational potential of postage stamps in the development of interdisciplinary cooperation, and teaching and methodological aspects oftheir use in history lessons.
