This text is devoted to the topics of Russia and Russian culture published in the journal Łužica during the interwar period. Sorbian readers could become familiar with translations of the works of Russian authors, learn about their relationships to the German or even Sorbian environment, and also gain information about people of Sorbian origin who went to work as teachers in Russia, e.g. Jan Arnošt Holan and Jan Bryl. The latter of these two men became, together with Oto Wićaz, the main popularizer of Sorbian topics in the journal.
