Abstrakt
This study addresses the question – to what extent were prospective Czech emigrés informed about the true situation in Russia between the years 1863 and 1868. It describes the promotional campaign by František Přibyl, which led to the main surge of emigration. It characterises the typical problems the emigrés had to face as a result of not being well informed.
