At first, the text presents the characteristics and specifics of postage stamps as a source of information about the historical facts. Then the text examines the distinctive turbiny points of the Cold War in selective reflection of postage stamp – frequency, relevance, methods of rendering topics. Continuously text deals with the educational potential of suitable examples of philatelic material in the development of interdisciplinary cooperation and didactic and methodological aspects of their application within history teaching.
