Abstrakt
Numerous migration of population from Kysuce Region in 1834–1835 was not a unique phenomenon in the context of emigration from this region. She should be included amongst the largest migration waves in the 19th century, because under its influence left Kysuce estimated 3–5% of the population. Main stream left their region in April and May 1835 and the migrants was leaving in large groups. The main reasons for emigration were a spreading rumors, hunger, high fragmentation of land, debt, natural disasters, fires, but also the overall psychological impact of a variety of successive disasters between 1831 to 1835. Migration flows, however, did not stop and continued with different intensity throughout the rest of the 19th century. For the area of Kysuce had emigration a positive impact especially in terms of fragmentation of property holdings, because leaving people mostly sell their communal property to a their family members, thereby partially have been associated originally fragmented pieces of land. But it was only temporary, as by inheritance in subsequent generations, the partitioned of soil continued.
