The peculiarities of givin the autonomy status to Nakhchivan are grounded, it is adressed to the historical experience in the world history and the significance of the Moscow and Qars treaties is analyzed as international treaties in this field. The result consist of that, the separation of the Nakhchivan land from the Azerbaijan, having no land connection with it, i.e. the geopolitical situation of the region made is the autonomous state having political autonomy of economic character.
