The content of the study is the use of secret funds and illegally acquired funds by the Communist Party and secret services in the army and the Ministry of Interior in the struggle for political power in the years 1945–1948. The first section is devoted to the wider context of the financing of political parties in the postwar period. The next part deals with the role of the secret services, which was dominated by the Communist Party during 1945 because of obtaining illegal finances and creating slush funds. The final section is devoted to the fates of the main actors of illegal transactions made by the intelligence service of the Ministry of Interior, which remained for a long time shrouded in mystery.
