Abstrakt
Damages caused by occupation and state of war were investigated and filed by affected citizens, businesses and institutions after the war, and then partially compensated to people and corporate bodies in deep financial need in the form of allowance. The decision was made by the President who issued decrees, namely Decree of the President of the Republic of 31st August 1945 concerning the registration and identification of war damage and damage caused by abnormal circumstances taking effect on 8th September 1945 (Decree No. 54/1945) and Decree of the President of the Republic of 28th September 1945 concerning advances on compensation for some property war damages (Decree No. 82/1945). These decrees were complemented by a variety of laws, regulations and policy directives of various ministries. Compensation was gradually terminated at the beginning of the 1950s.
