Abstrakt
Research focussed on the penetration of Roman legal elements into domestic law in the Middle Ages is in terms of legal history an important source of complex legal developement knowledge. Whereas any comprehensive overview of literature on this issue has not been published, author of this paper aims to prepare summary of research in the field of medieval Roman law with reference to relevant publications. This paper is divided into separate chapters according to the character of included works. The most important chapter is sub-section summarizing the study, whose subject is the Roman legal analysis of legal monuments. These works are in terms of Roman law penetration most important because it usually brings a comprehensive knowledge ofthe origin of medieval legal principles and rules. This paper is also focused on analysis of specific legal institutions, which reflects any Roman legal influences. In a separate section, the author also focuses on works, which are not exclusively legal, but they are important source of knowledge for our theme. Appropriate place was devoted to the synthesis, which theme is history of medieval Romanisation in domestic environment. In individual chapters are included bibliography and research overview. The paper is closed by reasoning about current situation in branch of medieval Roman law penetration with outlining of possible way in future researches.
