The situation in Moravian (and Silesian) sugar refineries after the origination of an independent state is presented and confronted within the Czech lands. It notices particulars, but the main emphasis is placed on a gradual struggle of agrarian capital for positions in the sugar industry. Attention is particularly drawn to the process of so-called agrarian influence and gradual control over Moravian sugar refineries gained by a representative of the agrarian capital in Moravia – V. Stoupal.
