Creativity of employees and their remuneration from the perspective of changes in Slovak patent law.

The article deals with the changes to the regulation on employee inventions after the adoption of a major amendment to the Slovak Patent Act. It deals with the legal nature of the relationship between the employee and the employer. It points out changes concerning the employee's awareness of the creation of an employee's invention as well as the exercise of the right to be resolved in the case of filing a patent application. It describes the introduction of an employer's duty to inform the employee about the determination of the amount of additional compensation. It discusses the new deadlines for the exercise of the inventor’s property rights and the deadlines for employer’s remuneration payout
