Effectivity of person centred psychotherapy and experiential psychotherapies

The article summarizes research studies and meta-analytical findings that verified effectivity of the Person Centred Psychotherapy (PCT) and Experiential psychotherapies (PCET). The author´s aim is to give evidence about presence of empirical studies that are documenting effectivity of this psychotherapeutic approaches in the view of evidence based psychotherapy. Current research results states evidence that PCT/PCET (a) brings adaptive personality changes to the clients that are persistent after the end of psychotherapy; (b) have comparable general effectivity than Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) or Psychodynamic psychotherapies (PDT); (c) are effective in depressions, anxiety, relationships problems, and psychosis while are discussed specifics and strengths of effectivity by particular psychic disorders; and (d) brings many of qualitative gains for clients, but some negative experiences, too.
