Culm; sulphide mineralization; fluid inclusions; stable isotopes
Formation conditions of the base metal sulphide mineralization found in Ja-9 borehole (about 10 km SE from Frýdek-Místek, NE Moravia) have been investigated. Homogenization temperatures of the fluid inclusions in sphalerite, quartz and calcite range between 31 and 157 °C. Minerals precipitated from Ca-Na-Cl fluid with higher salinities between 9 and 19 wt. % NaCl equiv. Calculated δ18O of the parent fluid around 0 ‰ SMOW indicates marine origin of the mineralizing solutions. Combined fluid inclusion and sulphur isotope thermometry allow to estimate pressure condition as high as 30 MPa. This value corresponds with a present-day position of the studied sample in depth 1085 m.
