Abstrakt
Baroque tradition, maintained in the environment of monastery in Zábrdovice talks about the Premonstratensian nunnery in Křtiny, founded by Leo of Klobouky, simultaneously with the male convent in Zábrdovice and refuted by the Hussites. Written sources from 13th to 15th century are completely silent about it, the annals of the monastery in Zábrdovice from the years 1660–1674 mention it for the first time in 1521, when they talk also about its past. That year the abbot named James reportedly accepted the vows of two nuns for the convent in Křtiny, but the nuns apparently lived in Zábrdovice and they were also buried there. But the baroque pilgrim literature in connection with Křtiny states three nuns who saved themselves during the Hussite ravaging and escaped to Zábrdovice, where they were buried. It seems that there was really a stone located in Zábrdovice that had been interpreted as a tombstone of the nuns. Also the news that the abbot James received vows of the nuns, sounds plausible He was at the same time the provost of Premonstratensian convent in Nová Říše. However the nunnery in Křtiny did not exist.
