Some obserwations on american criminal proceedings

Vol.1,No.2(1993)

Abstract
The article deals with some particularly American aspects of court proceedings, being based on the personal experience the authors gained this year in Boston, Massachusetts. The objective of the text is to give a testimony on the course of criminal court proceedings and pick up certain specific institutions (counsels, jury, expert witnesses, classification of the crime etc.) so as to provide a more detailed description thereof. To promote better understanding of English law terminology the authors tried to give the English equivalents to Czech technical terms.
