Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end. A list of references is provided at the end of the text.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

The Czech-polish Historical and Pedagogical Journal is an international academic journal edited by the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University. Articles must be written in English. Editorial correspondence should be sent electronically to the Deputy editor at lunerova@ped.muni.cz.

The articles are anonymously reviewed by two reviewers and based on the evaluation the editorial board gives the articles into press. The editoral board announces the results of the review process to the author in the shortest possible time.

Only studies dealing with the history of the Czech lands (or Czechoslovakia), Poland, didactics of history, or general pedagogy are accepted for publication in the Czech-Polish Historical and Pedagogical Journal.

The article submitted for publication must include footnotes according to the citation format below. A list of references must also be provided at the end of the article.

Czech-polish historical and pedagogical journal is an international academic journal edited by the Faculty of education of Masaryk university. Articles may be written in English. All contributions received are submitted for blind revien by two peers, additionally to review by Editorial Board.

The Czech-Polish Historical and Pedagogical Journal publishes results of the research project Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic 03/2009/DT/czpl/MU ISSN 1803-6546
Since February 2016 the journal has been included in the prestigious European database of scientific journals ERIH PLUS (European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences). Since 2013 it has been on the list of peer-reviewed, non-impacted journal published in the Czech Republic. The 2015 and 2016 volume were included in the Web of Science.
